Pinnacles WA  6511
The Pinnacles Desert is found within the Nambung NP on the WA Coral Coast. Located near the small town of Cervantes 262 km north of Perth, the desert was discovered by stockmen ( 1849) searching for lost cattle. Consisting of limestone pillars that were eroded from limestone beds broken down by seashells, they vary in height from a few cm to 5m and number in the thousands.
